Who we are

About Beltr

There’s so much data out there, and so little of it is being used.

We started Beltr to help industrial companies gather and make sense of their data from different sources. Making it easier to visualize, explore and understand the data, ultimately making it easier to improve operations.

We’re passionate about the tech, the machine learning, the possibilities unlocked by AI, and all that. But nothing makes it tingle in our bellies quite like solving real problems and creating real improvements. We’re building Beltr from Molde, Norway, a place where industry, engineering, and technology have been part of everyday life for generations.

And when we’re not building Beltr, we make the most of where we live: climbing mountains, skiing, surfing, fishing in the fjords, and enjoying the outdoors.

Let’s get to work.

The people building Beltr

Anders Granskogen Bjørnstad

Anders Granskogen Bjørnstad

Co-founder, CEO

Anders is a physicist from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). For the past 15 years, he’s been solving hard problems for industry by shipping code and building software. Mathematical modelling, numerical optimization and machine learning give him the chills (the good kind).

Before founding Beltr, Anders was Head of Machine Learning and IoT at Axbit, as well as serving stints as CEO and COO. He has also worked extensively as a project manager and was employee number one in a startup.

At Beltr, Anders is our tech-savvy CEO.

Alexander Grimstad

Consulting firm Smood is a 3x DN Gaselle, delivering profits to its owners every year since it was founded in 2018. It is now part of Mood Oslo.
