Senior Engineer

At Beltr, we crunch industrial data with AI simplicity, and our goal is to improve all factories worldwide. Our first product is Beltr Hero, an AI agent for industrial data. We help industrial companies deliver real value through improving their production or otherwise gaining insights from their own data.

You will be one of very few engineers building the whole product: the desktop application, the layer that reaches into customers' data, and the agent that makes sense of it. You own problems end to end — talking to the end user who has the problem, deciding what to build, building it, shipping it, and finding out whether it actually helped. There is no product manager between you and the customer, and there will not be one.

Early on, your work decides whether our first pilots become referenceable customers. That is the job.

• Ship features into applications that process engineers and operators use every day.
• Read data out of whatever a factory has: SQL databases, historians, OPC UA, ODBC, CSV dumps, APIs, and the one proprietary system nobody has heard of.
• Build and harden our AI agent loop — tools, context, evaluations.
• Handling large time series data sets and state of the art algorithms for analyzing them.
• Go into plants, watch people work, and come back with the real requirement.
• Fix the boring things that block a customer today.

We do not care which frameworks are on your CV, and we will not ask for ten years of anything. We do care if you have real depth in the software development skill tree, while skills in design, communication, sales and management are a plus.

• You are a problem solver first.
• Deep experience shipping software that other people depend on, and the taste that comes from having maintained it afterwards.
• Machine learning (AI) and data science experience is a plus.
• You use AI tooling hard and know where it stops working. You will get plenty of token budgets, you spend them wisely.
• Comfortable getting little support but lots of encouragement.
• You want to sit close to customers.
